TRADER'S BRIEF
The Supercycle Score fell to 8/100, "Strong Headwind" (from Friday's 11), as the dollar ground to a fresh cycle high of 92.13% of its 52-week range, up from Friday's 89.4%.
Copper (CPER) posted the single largest CCI swing on the entire board, from +8.7 to +90.9, an 82-point move that flipped its trend GREEN. The dollar's own swing (+58.7) and the Nasdaq's (+49.7) were both smaller.
Energy split cleanly in two: crude oil (USO) rose +1.25% as Brent pushed above $90/bbl on an eleventh straight night of US strikes on Iran, while natural gas (UNG) fell -2.09%, the board's largest single mover, on a two-month-low price as storage builds outpaced demand.
Soybeans (SOYB) jumped +1.53% to a nine-week high on fresh Chinese demand (340,000 metric tons booked for 2026/27), while corn (CORN) confirmed a GREEN trend for a second session.
Treasury yields rose across the curve (2yr +3bp, 10yr +5bp, 30yr +5bp) as energy-driven inflation concerns nudged September rate-hike odds to roughly 53%, up from 47%; the Fed's July 28-29 meeting is still expected to hold.
