Crude Jumps 3.5% While the Rest of the Board Goes Quiet

Every Confirmed Green Vanishes and the Score Slips to 19

Friday, August 7, 2026

TRADER'S BRIEF

•  Crude oil (USO, +3.47%) posted the board's biggest move by far, yet its trend reading stayed weak at posture 31, a bounce, not yet a breakout.

•  After Wednesday's across-the-board surge, the board flipped almost entirely YELLOW: ten of twelve names confirmed neutral, zero confirmed GREEN, the quietest trend read in over a week.

•  The dollar (UUP, +0.36%) closed higher for a second straight session, yet its own trend reading flipped to YELLOW instead of confirming a third straight RED, the slide that has been pushing the Score down keeps stalling even as the price climbs.

•  The Supercycle Score fell to 19/100 ("Strong Headwind") from 23, the dollar's most pinned reading in more than a week, even as its own downtrend signal cools.

•  Gold (GLD, +0.01%) and silver (SLV, -0.39%) both digested Wednesday's 4%-plus surge, confirming YELLOW after two sessions of GREEN.
