The Dollar Resumes Its Slide

Copper Breaks From Gold and Silver as the Score Jumps to 24

Monday, August 10, 2026

TRADER'S BRIEF

•  The dollar (UUP, -0.43%) snapped back to a confirming RED trend reading Friday after Thursday's one-day stall, pushing the Supercycle Score up to 24/100 ("Strong Headwind") from 19.

•  Silver (SLV, +2.95%) and gold (GLD, +2.26%) both extended their GREEN trend, the board's two strongest names again after Wednesday's surge.

•  Copper (CPER, -2.11%) broke from the rest of the metals complex, flipping to RED even with its trend reading still solidly positive, a sharp cooling after weeks near the top of the board.

•  Crude oil (USO, -0.75%) logged a second straight RED session, still hunting for the confirmation Thursday's 3.5% bounce never delivered.

•  Three names confirmed GREEN Friday (gold, silver, Nasdaq), the board's strongest green count in more than a week, after Thursday's rare all-clear.
